Welcome to the Rees Art Studio!

I have been teaching art at Rees Elementary since the year 2000.  I am also a member of the Texas Art Education Association.

My passion as an art teacher is nurturing the creativity and imagination of my students.  I have taught many young amazing artists by teaching the elements of art.  Visual art is an essential part of life, and so important to all cultures.  Visual imagery is all around us everywhere we look.  It is through our imagination that our ideas are created.  As a teacher, I will always strive to make learning fun for my students and pass my passion for art on to them.

Hello, Rees Star Families! I am Ms. Wilkins, and I have been the music teacher here at Rees since 2012.  I have been teaching music since 1998!  I am privileged to share the joy of music with students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in music education for grades kindergarten through twelve.  

I have always loved singing, and started playing the flute in 6th grade.  My main goal in teaching is to share a joy of music with every student that enters my classroom.  Learning to have confidence in their music skills, and having fun while they do it is the most important thing I can teach them.
